How Normalization in SSC Exams is going to affect Merit score?

Commonly speaking, Normalization is a process adopted in exams for adjusting values measured on different scales to a notionally common scale. The process of Normalization is applied to evaluate the performance of all the candidates on the basis of similar exam parameters. In SSC exams, there are differences in difficulty level of question papers shift-wise and so marks scored by candidates in various shifts vary. The difficulty level of each shift is decided by the subject experts and specialized team, appointed by SSC.
The main factor of calculating the difficulty level will be average marks of each shift.
